Vacation

So sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I have been thoughly enjoying a vacation in Michigan with my children and grandchildren. We have had a fantastic 2 1/2 weeks so far and kind of dread leaving on Sunday. We will really miss the family when we go home.We have been attending church with our son and daughters and grandchildren. It has been so rewarding.

We have visited several places that we used to go to alot. Houghton Lake, Alma, St. Louis, Greenville and Frankenmuth and several apple orchards.
We spent the day yesterday in Frankenmuth with our daughter Laurie. Ate a magnificent chicken dinner at the Bavarian Inn and spent several hours at Bronners the Christmas store. Oh my goodness. What beautiful ornaments and other decorations for fall and Christmas. I am bringing some home with me. There is no other Christmas store in America that compares to Bronners.

We are planning a Thanksgiving and Christmas (combined) dinner on Saturday with all the family here. It will be so much fun and enjoyment for us. We miss spending the holidays with them. Bitter sweet moments.

We will be back in San Diego on Sunday around noon. It will be so good to see my friends and card class members again. I have missed them all this month and will be happy to get back to our normal schedule.

See you all soon,
Love and Hugs,
June

From My Heart

Here is another great card that we did in July. I love Cherry Cobbler everything. It makes me hungry but I still think it's the greatest red we have next to Real Red. The new stamp pad in Real Red is awesome. No smearing and it drys quickly unlike the old pad I had.

Layered Labels

Finally I am almost at the last card for June. Just one more left to put on. I just don't believe I got so far behind. I guess I will have to put them on before class from now on to keep up to date.
I really appreciate all my card class members and their faithfulness every month. It makes it such a joy to prepare for.

This is the inside of the card. Because I cut the image out of the card front, stamped it on white and put it behind the card front I felt I needed to stamp something inside. It worked out great.

Loving Thoughts

I am a quilter so I guess that is why I love this card. It reminds me of a quilt that I once made. It is amazing what can be done with Stampin' Ups punches and they make card making so easy.

I am still in therapy and doing better is some ways but the pain in my shoulder and arm is still very much there. Guess it will be back to the doctor and see what's next after next week. I really wish they could determine the cause of all this pain. Please pray that something will be found out soon. I just want to feel good again.

Mixed Bunch

This is the second card we did in June. I just love this stamp set and the paper. I also really like the fact there is a punch for the flower. I am getting real partial to punches that match our stamps. It makes my work so much easier and looks so much better than if I cut it free hand.

Rich Razzleberry is also a favorite color of mine. You will see lots of it this year no doubt.

September card class is coming up this Saturday and if you live in the area we would really like to have you join us. Just email me and I will give you all the info. We have so much fun and you take home 8 cards to use as inspiration and to send to someone.

Christmas in July

These are the cards we did last Saturday and again on Tuesday for our Christmas in July class.
If you live in the area and would like to do these email me and I will give you the info on how to do that. You could book a private class with just a few friends if you like or come to one at my home.

If you are outside the area and would like to receive the kit you can also email me and I can send it to you.
Cost is $30 plus $5 for shipping per each kit. You get 20 cards and envelopes (5 each of the 4 different designs).
We had so much fun listening to Christmas music, eating the cookies my husband baked for us and of course some traditional chocolate. A great time was had by all.

We were at the doctors again this morning. My husband's broken foot is healing but it can take up to 12 weeks before it heals completely. So I guess our trip to Michigan is off for now. We may go in the fall if it doesn't get cold there early. He is doing good but is not suppose to walk much.

I hated to see this stamp retire as I had just gotten into doing some special things with it but all good things must come to an end sometime. Hope you are inspired by this card and will do some experimenting on your own.

Daisey #2

Good morning. We had a very nice rain over night that will really make the garden grow. Today is still cloudy and cool so I will be stamping and having fun.

This is another card we made in class this month. I am sad to say that the Daisy #2 die is being retired in May. It is such a cool looking flower as you can see.

There are so many stamp sets and accessories retiring and you really need to check out the list. If there is anything you want to purchase you need to do it as soon as possible as everything will be selling fast. Stamp sets can be purchased through the 31st of May but accessories are only available as long as the supply last.

I am really looking forward to the new catalog and all the new products that are coming out. Our stamp pads are not retiring however they will be revamping them and making them better than ever. Also the markers are not retiring there are just some that won't be sold individual any more. Just a lot of info to take in and digest. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Stamp Set: Perfectly Penned

Card Stock: Elegant Eggplant, Elegant Eggplant DSP, Pale Plum(retired), Whisper White

Ink: Elegant Eggplant

Sweetheart

It rained again in the night and everything smells fresh and clean. Going to be a cloudy day and that's just right for stamping. I am getting ready for our club meeting on Saturday and looking forward to lots of fun and fellowship.

I was stunned at the size of the retired list of stamp sets and am sending it out to all my customers so they can plan accordingly. I am loosing over half of my collection but am really hoping they will be replaced with some great new sets. The accessories list comes out on Wednesday, hopefully I won't have a heart attack over that.

P.S. I Love You

From my heart to yours, what a great saying!! This is going out to all my friends and family with problems today. You are in my heart and I am thinking about you and praying for you today. It seems that there has just been so much sickness lately with everyone I know. It's like an epidemic.

We are getting ready for a trip to Michigan in July to see all our old friends and spend time with our kids and other family there. I can hardly wait. There is to be a family reunion for my family and my husbands as well, so we will get to see people we have not seen in a long time. Looking forward to much fun and relaxation at the lake where our son camps. The next 2 months will go by slowly I am sure.

Nature's Silhouette

Today is another sad day and I would ask that you continue to pray for my friends, Teri, Ruth, and Marlene. Cancer is such a terrible disease and I wish they could come up with a cure for all kinds of it. I have lost 3 sibblings and so many other relatives and friends that have had cancer or other forms of it and I am so saddened by these events. Sometimes I feel like howling like the wolf below.(or screaming)

Here is my first card from the April class. I am sad to see that this set is retiring but hopefully they will replace it with something just as good. It is hard to find good stamps for male cards.

Card Recipe:

Stamp sets: Natures Silhouette and God's Blessings

Card stock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Mocha Morning DSP

Ink: Soft Suede

Accessories: Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Crumb Cake seam binding, and dimensionals

Doily Sizzlit

Finally I am at the last card for March's card class and now I  can start on April's.

Went shopping this morning at Sprout's and got some really nice produce for a great price and also some good looking steaks to grill. I think Spring is finally here, the birds are singing and it will be about 80 degrees today. Nice day for grilling.

Only 12 days left to order from the Occasions Mini, if you haven't bought everything you love from there, better do it now. Time is short. We won't have another new mini until August when the Holiday Mini goes live. Also our large catalog will be done on May 31st. Not much time to get what you want from there either. A lot of items are retiring.

Card Recipe:

Stamp sets: Elementary Elegance and Fresh Vintage

Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White

Ink: Wisteria Wonder

Accessories: Big Shot with Doily Sizzlit die, ticket corner punch, small pearls and glue dots.

Boy, life sure is not fair sometimes. Please continue to pray for Leona. Cullen lost his battle with cancer today. They were both great neighbors and I am not sure whether she will be staying on here or not. Just not a good day today.

Hope you like this card it is one of my fav's. Great for young people getting married now, it's so un-traditional. No one seems to like traditional anymore.

Happiest Birthday Wishes

Wow! It has been awhile since I posted. Life seems to get so busy now days. I have been busy with friends having fun and also not so much fun with some. There are so many sick people today and my friends are dealing with some real problems. That means I have been praying a lot and having some difficult feelings that kinda of hinder creativity. If you are a praying person and think of it, please pray for Marlene, Ruth, Teri, Kathy, and Cullen and Leona. All are going through rough times with cancer or other extreme health problems right now, in themselves or loved ones. I am sure they would appreciate your prayers.

Blossom Punch

It seems like there are just not enough hours in my day anymore. I planned to post this on Monday and don't know what happened but here it is Thursday already. Time sure flies anymore.

This is the first card from our March card class. I so do love this punch. It's called the Blossom Punch and it's found in the Occasions Mini catalog on pg 17, #125603 for $16.95 and the stamp set is the Mixed Bunch that goes with it. It's also on that page and is # 125537 for $21.95. I certainly hope this is held over to the new catalog because it is so much fun and such a beautiful set to work with.
