Countryside

The rain is finally over and the beautiful sun is shining. Such a bright and beautiful day. I am looking forward to just enjoying it in anyway possible. Tonight we are playing scrabble at my neighbors house. That will be a great time, I'm sure.

It's almost time for another card class and I am still posting pictures from the last one. It seems the days fly by so fast. Anyway, here is another one from our Dec class. It just looks like what I remember from our past days in the country in Michigan. The good old days as my husband would say.

I love this stamp set and am looking forward to using it often. The old truck especially is so much like some we have had in the past.

Stamp set: Countryside and Occasional Quotes

Cardstock: Early Expresso, Woodland Walk DSP and Very Vanilla

Ink: Early Expresso

Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals

Wow! I can't believe that is all the accessories I used. Usually I have a huge list. We did some involved cards this month and so about 3 of them I tryed to make very simple. We still had a 4 hour class. Guess I will have to keep them on the simple side from now on. One card took them 1 hour to make. That's just too long.

Thanks for stoppin and hope to see you again real soon. My New Year's resolution is to post more often in 2011. We'll see if that happens. (lol)

Hugs,
June

Scallop Envelope Die

Good Monday morning, I think. Can't seem to get going this morning. Must be due to the long celebration week-end. Christmas takes so long to get here and it is over in such a short time. We really had a good one this year however. We went looking at Christmas lights with old friends one night and just had a blast. Family came both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and we just had so much fun with them. I love Christmas and can hardly wait for it to come again.

I am sharing another December card class card today. This one I have made before and I just love it. The ladies in my class did too.

Stamp set: Occasional Quotes and Vintage Vogue and Birthday Bakery

Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Perfect Plum and Whisper White

Ink: Perfect Plum

Accessories: Big Shot with Scallop Envelope Die, Scallop Border Punch, Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, sticky strip and Stampin' Dimensionals

Hope you try this card. It makes for a fun birthday message hidden in the envelope. I love it!!

Thanks for stoppin and I hope to see you again real soon. Have a blessed day in the Lord!

After Thoughts

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and didn't eat too much. We had such a good time with our family and two very delicious meals, one on the Eve of Christmas and one Christmas Day. My children are such good cooks and even cleaned up everything afterwards. I am truly a blessed woman. The best presents are family and friends and I am blessed with the best of both.

Now it's time to get back to work and get some posting done. I will be sharing my December card class with you the next few days. If anyone would like to purchase it just e-mail me and let me know. The cost is $12 for 8 cards, matching envelopes and postage is extra. We had such fun in this class but then we always do. If you live in the area we would love to have you join us. It is always the 3rd Saturday of the month.

For this card I used:
Stamp Set: After Thoughts

Cardstock: Not Quite Navy, So Saffron and Whisper White and Sunny Garden DSP

Ink: Not Quite Navy

Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, 5 Petal Flower Punch, Bright Brads, 5/16 Neutral Brads, Paper Piercing Tool and Mat set and Stampin' Dimensionals

Everyone loved it and they all need birthday cards it seems. Today I am kicking back and relaxing in the quiet of an empty house. The younger people have gone to the Casino and now I get to set and read and enjoy the day. Hope you all can do the same.

Thanks for stoppin! Have a blessed day and may God bless you for this New Year.

Hugs,

Sneak Peek

Wow! What a busy 2 weeks! My card class was last Saturday so I will be posting the cards we did for the next few days. At least I will be posting as well as celebrating the Holiday. We are getting more than our share of rain today but it is better than snow, so I am not complaining. I love Christmas and have lived where I had a white Christmas most of my life but I can enjoy Christmas without the white stuff too. It's the reason behind the season that counts, not whether we have snow or not. So happy Jesus birthday to all of you.

This card is a sneak preview from the new Occasions Mini. I really love this set.

Stamp set: Easter Blossoms

Card stock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Regal Rose and Rose Red

Ink: Jet Black Stazon

Accessories: Big Shot with the Finial Press and the Polka Dot Embossing folders, 1/2" and 3/4" circle punches, 1 3/8" Circle and the Scallop Circle punches, 1/4" Basic Black Grosgrain ribbon and Stampin' Dimensionals

Pretty easy to make but just a really sweet card. My ladies just loved it and so do I. Hope you do too and that it inspires you to make your own card with this stamp set. I am sure I will be doing more in the future.

Thanks for stoppin and hope to see you again soon. Have a blessed night.

Hugs,

Fall Leaves

Surprize I am back finally. I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted. December is a busy month and I just haven't had time to create anything. That's why I am posting a card I made in November for my card class. They really liked using a dryer sheet to create these beautiful leaves.
I just love teaching new techniques to new stampers. I only have one really seasoned stamper in my group and even she was amazed at what you can do with a dryer sheet and dazzling diamonds. It was so much fun.
I have a card class again this Saturday and am having a problem getting my creative juices flowing to get the cards ready. Hope praying will help to open my mind up to some really unusual designs.

The recipe for this card is:

Stamp Set: After Thoughts (hostess set)

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, and More Mustard

Ink: Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke

Accessories: Big Shot with the Leaves #2 die, used dryer sheet, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, dazzling diamonds, Stampin' Dimensionals

It is simple but dazzling! Everyone loved making it and are now trying to get used dryer sheets. I don't use dryer sheets anymore because I use liquid softner, so I just threw a clean towel and a few dryer sheets in the dryer and ran it for 20 minutes. They came out looking used and worked just great for the leaves.

Thanks for stoppin! Have a blessed day and stop in again real soon.

Winter Post

I wanted to do another Christmas card for my workshop coming up on the 11th. I also wanted a non-traditional card because we are doing two traditional ones.

I really love Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi together and the Basic Black and Whisper White fit right in with them.

I used the stamp sets, Winter Post for the image and A Cardinal Christmas for the sentiment.

I love the Big Shot and used it with the Northern Flurry and Square Lattice Embossing Folders. It makes everything look more textured and dimensional.

I finished it off with dimensionals and the Whisper White Organza Ribbon. So not traditional but so very pretty! Hope you like it as much as I do.

I hope you are inspired to step out of the box and design something different and special. I love it when a plan falls in place.

Thanks for stoppin!

Have a blessed night!

A Cardinal Christmas

I just love Christmas! This is one of my favorite stamps for Christmas. We had a motor home when we lived in Michigan and it was parked in our back yard. When we would eat lunch we could look out our kitchen window and watch these 2 cardinals look at themselves in the rearview mirror. They were so beautiful, bright red and flitting all over. They were a very bright spot in an otherwise snowy white picture.

I used Real Red, Garden Green and Whisper White Cardstock, A Cardinal Christmas Stamp set, the Scallop Trim Corner Punch, the Scallop Oval Punch, the Wide Oval Punch and Real Red Satin 5/8" ribbon. I colored the stamp with Real Red and Garden Green Markers before stamping. Fairly simple yet elegant looking card. Hope it inspires you to create something too.

Thanks for stoppin!

Have a blessed night!

Deck the Halls

It's a beautiful sunny morning in Southern California. A good day to be alive. I hope to finish creating the cards for my card class today and then do some reading. Nice day to relax on the deck and contemplate the holidays coming up so fast.

This is my last Christmas card for the class and doesn't need too much explaining.

The recipe for the card is:

Stamp set: Bells and Boughs

Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Deck the Halls DSP

Ink: Cherry Cobbler

Accessories: Scallop Corner Trim Punch and Stampin' Dimensionals

I cased this card from someone and tweaked it a little to make it mine. If you recognize who made this first let me know and I will give them credit. I have looked at so many blogs lately and just don't remember where I see what I like. I must start writing it down, I guess. Anyway, I hope you like it and that it will inspire you to create your own.

Occasional Quotes

It's been a busy day again and of course I am late with my post but here goes. This is the next card for my card class on Saturday. I only have 4 down and 4 to go. Don't know what happened this week, I usually am done with all of them before this time. Oh well, better late than never. (lol)

The recipe for this card is:

Stamp set: Occasional Quotes

Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Regal Rose, Whisper White and Subtles DSP

Ink: Black Staz On

Accessories: Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Modern Label punch, Small Heart punch, 3/8" Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

I want to thank everyone who is visiting my blog. I have had over 2000 visitors in the past 1 1/2 weeks. I hope you are enjoying what you see and that my projects will encourage you to create your own.
If you live in the San Diego area, I would really like to meet you and I invite you to visit one of my card classes in the future. We meet the 3rd Saturday of each month. I am also going to start an evening class and another daytime class possibly on Wednesdays. I will keep you posted on the exact dates that these will start.

Cherry on Top Award

What a wonderful surprize when I received this award in my e-mail. I have never received a reward before and I am so grateful to Ustamp Guest Designer Laurie Gibson for sending it to me. Thanks so much Laurie, I am very honored to receive this. Be sure to visit Laurie's blog to get some great ideas.

I think this award is just the Cherry on Top of all that has happened to me recently. I am so honored to be a Guest Designer on Ustamp with Dawn and Friends and to have been part of the Royal Blog Tour. Now I will follow the directions given to me with this award and pass it on to some I think are very deserving of it.

The rules are very simple:

1. Thank the person who sent it to you. Thank you Laurie very much.
www.lauriesrubberroom.blogspot.com

2. Copy and paste the award to your blog. very simple

3. Share 3 things about yourself that you enjoy! I love to stamp and share what I do with others, I love to read when I'm not stamping and I am thankful chocolate goes with stamping and everything else I do.

4. Pass the award to five others. I decided to give them to blogs I visited on the Royal Blog Tour that I thought merited an award such as this. I will be visiting these blogs consistantly.

Thanks to all you bloggers out there for sharing your creative talents with all of us.

Jolly Old Saint Nick

Hi everyone,

Sorry it took me so long to recover from the tour (lol). Guess I must be getting older or something.

I want to tell you how I did the blue top note on the Lovely As a Tree card for the Royal Blog Tour. I used the 1 3/4" circle punch. I punched on either side of the long side of the top note first. I put my punch as far in as it would go. I next punched the ends of the top note the same way. I then went back in on each corner and punched again. I made a nice wide opening for the stamp to fit in. I layed my top note on top of the Whisper White and then stamped the trees through the opening. It worked out great. Hope I see lots of cards out there done with this technique in the future.

Now for my current creation. My card class is coming up next Saturday the 20th and everyone wants to do the two tree cards I did for the blog. I decided we should do one more Christmas card along with them but a more traditional one and this is what I came up with.

Here is the recipe for this one:

Stamp set: Jolly Old Saint Nick

Cardstock: Real Red, Always Artichoke and Whisper White

Ink: Black Staz on and Always Artichoke

Accessories: Real Red and Bashful Blue Markers, Scallop Oval and Wide Oval punches. Modern Label and Decorative Label punches, silver brads, mini glue dots and Stampin' dimensionals.

It's an easy card to make but so cute. I remember going to see Santa in the park when I was young and he used to wink at me the way this one is. Sure brought back good memories of my childhood.

Thanks for stoppin in!

I want to Welcome all my new subscribers and I will be posting new ideas the end of the week.

Royal Blog Tour - Lovely As A Tree

Welcome to the Royal Blog Tour and to my castle.

This is my first time as A Royal Blog Tour Princess. Below you will find my first project that I created for the tour.
The stamp set I used for all three projects is 'Lovely As A Tree'. For this card I used Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla cardstock and Jolly Holiday DSP. I love this stamp set and hope it never retires. I think it is my all time favorite.

This card is my second project for the tour. I really love it done in blues. I always used to use Night of Navy and Brocade Blue together and the Brocade Blue was retired this past summer. I didn't think I would find another to go with it but Bashful Blue is not too bad. Of course my stamp set again is 'Lovely As A Tree'. I just love dazzling diamonds also.

My third and last project is a 'yummy' one. Nothing says I love you like Chocolate. This tin filled with Hersey's chocolate nuggets is about as good as good gets! That's what I think anyway. Hope you all feel the same as I am giving these projects away as blog candy on the tour.

If you would like to be eligible for my blog candy drawing you must, No 1 e-mail me at my e-mail address, which you will find toward the top of the right column here on my blog, with your full name, address and e-mail address, No 2 leave a comment on my Royal Blog post. Good luck to all of you.

Thanks for stoppin in! I hope you will check out all the entries on the tour and leave comments to the talented Queens and Princesses who are participating. I know there are many great projects for you to enjoy. You can start by clicking on one of the slippers below!

Happy touring!

Have a Blessed Day!

Holly Jolly DSP

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. I had to design my projects for Ustamp With Dawn and Friends and my projects for the Royal Blog Tour which starts on Friday. Pretty busy month with card classes and workshops etc. I guess no excuse is sufficient but I really had to say something for my negligence.

Anyway my grandson Gabe had his ninth birthday this month and I had to design a card for him. I decided to combine birthday and Halloween wishes together. I think it turned out pretty cool......... At least that's what Gabe would say!

It takes so little to make this card and it is so easy. I used one piece of DSP and a few scraps of Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Very Vanilla. The Two Tag Bigz Die and the Big Shot made the tags. I just love that die. You will probably see these on a lot of my cards from now on.
The Have A Fang-tastic and the little Dracula came from the Fang-tastic stamp set and the other sentiments are from the Level 1 Hostess Set called After Thoughts.

I think this style card will come in handy for most money or gift cards that I give from now on. I made one from the Lap of Luxury DSP. It has Life is Beautiful written all over it. I thought that would make a nice Bridal gift card or an Anniversary gift card. You can find the tutorial to make this card on Split Coast Stampers.com.

Thanks for stoppin in!

Day of Gratitude

The rain has finally stopped and the sun is really trying to come out. This was to have been our coldest day this week but I really think it was yesterday. Today feels warmer anyway.

I want to share another card for card class this Saturday. I love this stamp set too. I guess there really are not many that I don't love. Go figure!

Card recipe:

Stamp Sets: Day of Gratitude and Thankful For

Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, More Mustard, Early Expresso and Very Vanilla

Ink: Early Expresso, Cajun Craze, Old Olive and More Mustard

Accessories: Early Expresso 1/8" Taffeta ribbon and dimensionals

FANG-TASTIC

Here is another project using the Fang-tastic stamp set. We will be making this card in card class on Saturday. This is a close up of the Dracula on the spider web. I decided to make it the Easel card so he would look like he's hanging on the spider web. Too cute!! It was so much fun making this. I am not usually a Halloween person but I do like this cute set. Nothing gorey, just cute.

Card Recipe:

Stamp set: Fang-tastic and Grateful Greetings

Card stock: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron and Very Vanilla

Ink: Black Stazon

Accessories: Basic Black and Tangerine Tango Markers, Spider Web Embossing Folder, Scallop Circle and 1 3/8 circle punches, dauber and dimensionals

It is so cool in person. My little goblins next door will like it I'm sure. We don't get trick or treaters in our park so I always make something filled with candy for my neighbors grandchildren. Last year they sent me such a cute thank you card. This card goes to grandma this year and I am making the Fang-tastic Fancy Favor box full of candy for each of the kids. Sure to be a lot of fun.

Hope you enjoyed your visit today! I so appreciate your visits and comments...........

FANG-TASTIC

Good Sunday morning everyone! It's another cool day here and almost time to watch the Charger game on TV. Hoping they win today!

This is one of my Big Shot projects for this afternoon Big Shot class. Any little gremlin would like to receive this I'm sure.

I used the Fancy Favor box die, the spider web embossing folder, Fang-tastic stamp set and Wicked Fun DSP.

I think we will have lots of fun today and hope you have gotten some inspiration from the projects I've created.

Day of Gratitude

I received an e-mail from Lynn Pratt this morning about her young 5 year old daughter who has been diagnosed with diabetes. If you go on this website here, and make a donation you can receive a free tutorial from Lynn for this very cute paper purse. Hope you will help this very good cause. My husband has diabetes also.

We received a little rain this morning, just enough to say it rained. It will be a cool day here again, only in the 60's.

Getting ready for card class this afternoon and this is my third creation for the Big Shot class tomorrow afternoon. I love the big pumpkin.

I used Cajun Craze cardstock for the main card. I layered it with basic black and then I put a layer of Very Vanilla run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder on that.
I used the Ovals original die for the pumpkin. I also used the Decorative Label punch for the sentiment from the Day of Gratitude stamp set. I finished it off with some thwacking and wal-la the finished product. We should have fun making this one.

Thanks for stoppin in!

Northern Flurry

It's a cloudy, cool morning in Southern California today. I love it! Feels like fall and that's my favorite time of the year. I'm sharing my second creation for my Big Shot class with you today. We are doing 3 cards and 2 - 3-D projects. I shared one project yesterday. If you can join us we would love to have you come to the class. Just e-mail me and I will give you time and place.

I used Marina Mist, Brushed Silver and Whisper White cardstock.

The ink is Marina Mist and I used a dauber to color the snowflakes, and the ribbon is 1/8th inch Marina Mist taffeta.

I used the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder and the Northern Frost Decorative Strip for the snowflakes. For a little bling I put a Basic Rhinestone in the center of the dimensional mounted snowflakes.

The Noel is from the Many Merry Messages stamp set.
Hope this inspires you to do some Christmas creations.

Just Beleive

I am having a big shot class on the 17th of October and have all my projects ready. I thought I would share one of them with you today. I just love the big shot and wish I had every die, folder, sizzlet and anything else that goes with it. I have trouble not using it for every thing I make. You really need this, it is so much fun.

I decided I wanted a couple of 3-D projects and I just love the Scallop Envelope Box. It is so cute and holds a maximum of 6 - 3x3 cards and envelopes. I made 3 this time and I did them for different occasions. One is a thank you, one a just for you and the other is a friends.

I used Concord Crush for my box, decorated with Concord Crush dsp from the level 1 hostess incolor paper pack. The cards are made of Very Vanilla with layers of Concord Crush or Blushing Bride. I used the Just Believe stamp set, the word window and modern label, 1 1/4 inch circle punches. I used Concord Crush and Blushing Bride ink.

Hope you like them and they inspire you to do some of your own.

Thanks for stoppin in!

Have a blessed day!

Sincere Salutations

Chilly morning in Southern California. It really feels like fall and I am lovin' it. Spring and fall are my favorite times of the year. The change of seasons here is not as definite as they are in the East but there still is a change that can be seen and felt.

I am having a card class on October 23 at 2 p.m. so if you live in the San Diego area and would like to come just e-mail me and let me know. I have some great things planned.

This is my make-n-take card for my workshop on Saturday. My hostess says we have 8 coming so that will make for a good time. I am really lovin' doing the workshops and sure hope I can get some more bookings for this fall. I love making the harvest and holiday cards, they are so beautiful and the colors are fibrant. My hostess requested a birthday card since everyone sends them at one point or another. Here is the recipe.

I started with a Concord Crush base card 4 1/4" x 11". I cut 2 pieces of Pink Pirouette, 3" x 3 1/4 "and 1 1/4" x 4 1/4", 2 pieces of Whisper White, 2" x 4 1/4" and 2 3/4" x 3". The DSP is 1" x 4 1/4" and is from the In color pack. The paper is 6" x 6" so I cut a 1" strip and then punched the bird wing first and then cut the paper to 4 1/4". It is easier to do the wing that way you have more paper to hang on to in the punch.

I used the Scallop Border Trim Punch on each long side of the Whisper White 4 1/4" piece. After putting those layers together I tied the 5/8" Whisper White Organdy ribbon around them in a double knot and then glued them to the base card. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations.

Hope you are inspired to create your own card and have a great time doing it.

Thanks for stoppin' in!

Christmas Postcard

Good Morning! I don't know why but I am up very early this morning and I never do that unless I have somewhere to go very early. I decided I might as well see all of you since I'm up with no where to go.

This is the other card I will be making for my hostess at the workshop on Saturday. I just love the new Cherry Cobbler color with Very Vanilla. They just look so awesome together! Since Christmas is my favorite time of year you will probably see a lot of Christmas cards in the near future.

Not much to making this one. I used Cherry Cobbler for the base card. I layered it with Very Vanilla run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I tied Cherry Cobbler seam binding around the Vanilla layer before glueing it to the base card with snail. I stamped the Merry Christmas in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla, glued it to a piece of Cherry Cobbler and put in on with dimensionals. Wa -la. A beautiful Christmas card!!

Thanks for stoppin by!

Hope you have a great day!

Upsy Daisy

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. I was going to faithfully post everyday this month but it seems life gets in my way.

Monday I went to a wonderful network meeting with some other wonderful ladies and boy did I learn a lot. I didn't realize how great it would be to be part of a group of enthusiastic entrepreneurs like myself.

Yesterday I had to travel to the mountains, to a quaint little town and eat hot soup and do some shopping. It was a cool fall wonderful day and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I plan to do this often this fall and winter. I enjoy this time of the year the most.

I guess now it's time to get down to business and finish this post with a card. This one I made for my workshop coming up on Saturday. The hostess wanted cards that everyone sends out regular, so this is the first one I will make to give to her

Stamp set: Upsy Daisy

Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Sunny Garden dsp, Whisper White

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Black Stazon

Accessories: Big Shot with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch, 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones and dimensionals

It's such a bright and cheery thank you card that anyone would like to receive. I so enjoy making cards for every occasion.

Thanks for stoppin!

Wedding Card

This card was inspired by the sketch challenge on Mojo Monday (Mojo158). I really loved this layout and I especially love the Concord Crush in-color. It is such a royal shade of purple and therefore fits a royal occassion such as a wedding.

I am so glad the temp is down today. Yesterday we hit a record 113 in Santee but at 1:15 today it is only 85. What a drop and how greatly appreciated. Didn't go out for anything yesterday except the mail.

Time to give details on this fabulous card.

Stamp sets: Tiny Tags and Occassional Quotes

Ink: Concord Crush

Cardstock: Concord Crush, Concord Crush dsp and Whisper White

Accessories: In-color Glitter Brads, Modern Label Punch, Small Heart Punch, 1/2 inch Concord Crush Striped Poly Ribbon, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and dimensionals

Autumn Days

I need a couple of masculine birthday cards this month so this is the first of two. I really like this set. It reminds me of fall in Michigan. Driving through the countryside you see lots of Pheasants and pine trees and wheat. This time of year I really miss home and getting ready for the holidays with all the family. We have been in Southern California for two years already and I don't think I will ever get used to not having snow at Christmas and the beautiful leaves in the fall. I do like to spend a lot of time in the mountains now because it feels more like home there. My husband has done so well here however, that there is no chance of ever going back to live.

This card is simple but nice and easy for new stampers to do. I will use this for a make-n-take at my next workshop as most of my customers are new to stamping. It would also be good for a card class with new stampers. Can't believe I got through this one without thwacking or using the Big Shot. Wow!!

Stamp sets: Autumn Days and Occasional Quotes

Cardstock: Crumb Cake for the card
Cajun Craze layer 4 x 5 1/4
Naturals Ivory layer 3 3/4 x 5

Ink: Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze

Accessories: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Always Artichoke markers, Modern Label and Designer Label punches, Early Expresso Grosgrain 1/4" ribbon, snail and dimensionals

I hope you like it and will get inspired by it.

Thanks

It's been a busy day! My workshop turned out very well and we're still open until next week, so who knows. I also have a potential hostess and perhaps a recruit so it was a very prosperous day also. I have so much fun at workshops, sharing what I love and seeing everyone have such a good time. I have been very surprised that at my 4 recent workshops I have had more new stampers than experienced ones. That has been so thrilling to see what they can do their first time.

I made this card this morning before my day really started but I didn't have time to post it before I had to leave, so here it is. I told you yesterday you would see a lot of this stamp set in coming days. Fall is my favorite time of the year and of course coming from Michigan I miss the changing of the leaves and raking them. You will probably see a lot of oranges, browns, golds and reds from this site for the next month or two. I also decided to enter this in the Techno Stamper challenge for this week. Anyway on with the new creation. I did another version of the same card and decided I liked this one better so I have changed the image. Hope no one minds and that you all like it better.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Sets: Harvest Home and Thank You Kindly

Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla and Wild Wasabi dsp.

Ink: Black Stazon, Wild Wasabi

Accessories: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wasabi markers, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, 1/2 inch Circle Punch, Wide Oval and Scallop Oval Punches, and the 5 Petal Flower Punch, Gold Brad and dimensionals. I also used the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder. Looks more finished this way.

This card was so much fun to create and I really love this stamp set and the new dotted scallop ribbon border punch. So Coooool!!!!

Thanks for stoppin in!

Harvest Home

Awhile back I told you our team finally had a name. Since then my up-line has informed me that we couldn't have that name because it was to close to someone else's. We now are official with the name of ATT-Always Thumpin' and Thwackin'. Today I decided to start living up to our team name so I went all out on this card thumpin' and thwackin'. I love the look it gives and it's fun to do.

I also was on Create with Connie and Mary's site and decided to enter this in their current ccmc 117 inspiration challenge. The cake colors inspired my color choices for this card and then I chose the stamp set. Thanks girls for another great challenge. You all should try it at least once. Challenges are so fun and inspiring.

This is my first card for the fall season other than Halloween. I wanted this set for so long and finally purchased it last month. It will be used a lot in the coming months. I hope you get inspired by it.

Stamp set: Harvest Home

Ink: Early Expresso, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive also these 3 markers.

Cardstock: Early Expresso Card, layers are 2 3/4 x 3, 1 1/8 x 3, 1 1/4 x 4, Old Olive layer is 4 x 5 1/4, Pumpkin Layer is 3 3/4 x 5 and Very Vanilla layers are 2 5/8 x 2 3/4, 7/8 x 2 3/4, 1 x 4. I ran the Pumpkin Pie and all 3 layers of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice folder after I stamped them. I then thwacked everything with all 3 colors. "WOW". I love it. Only other accessory was the dimensionals.

You really need the Big Shot, you can do so much with it and it totally changes the look of your cardstock. You can purchase it here.

Simply Said

I wasn't going to post until tomorrow morning, however I found out tonight that I have to post so I can meet the challenge on Stampin 411 by 8a.m. EST on Thursday. I won't be up at 5 in the morning to do that, so must get it done tonight.

I just finished this card which is my Make-n-Take for my workshop on Saturday. I am excited about doing it. I really enjoy the workshops, meeting so many new people and having a great time sharing what I love to do.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: Simply Said

Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait and Very Vanilla

Ink: Black Stazon

Accessories: Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait markers, 1/2" Poppy Parade Stitched Poly Ribbon, dimensionals and snail.

The card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Peach Parfait. Left layer is 2 1/2 x 4 piece of Poppy Parade layered with a 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 piece of Very Vanilla. Right under layer is a 2 1/2 x 2 3/4 piece of Poppy Parade layered with a 2 1/4 x 2 1/2 piece of Sunny Garden dsp. Then the ribbon is stretched around the front of the card and adhered with snail. Top layer is a 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of Peach Parfait layered with a 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 piece of Poppy Parade and that is layered with a 2 x 3 piece of Very Vanilla.
Images are stamped in black Stazon and flowers are colored with the markers.
I just love how fresh and clean and bright it looks. Whoo Hooo!

I can't believe I made a card without the Big Shot. Amazing!!!

Jolliest Time of the Year

It's a beautiful fall day in Southern California today. Just in the mid 70's and a nice breeze blowing. I would so like to go to the mountains today for cider and apple pie. This month and next are Apple Festival days in Julian. I just love it up there away from all the traffic and people. It's such a nice small town with very quaint shops and one wonderful candy shop that I don't seem to be able to pass up.

Any way a little about my last but not least Christmas past card. The background is done with the direct to paper technique. I like the different look to it and depending on how you do it you can make it look different each time. Colors used were Real Red and Garden Green on Whisper White paper
