The Open Sea

It is hard to believe all the bad weather in the East when it is so beautiful here in San Diego. My son is enjoying the sunshine and getting a nice tan. I know he will hate to go home next week and leave this wonderful weather behind him.

Here is another card from our last card class. I don't usually use all browns as I did here but it makes a nice masculine card. It would be fun to sail around the world in this clipper ship.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: The Open Sea and Clearly For You

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Nautical Expedition DSP

Ink: Early Espresso

Accessories: Modern Label Punch, 1/4" Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon and Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks for stoppin! Hope you are having as much fun and I with the new Summer Mini products. Until next time.......... happy creating.

Silouette Sentiments

We are having a fabulous time with our oldest son this week. He surprized us by just dropping in from Michigan last Saturday. What a wonderful Easter surprize. He and his Dad have been all over the bay, in the fishing tackle shops and I think on every fishing pier in San Diego. I am so glad I have a week off from workshops and classes and can just enjoy family.

Just remember the Occasions Mini is only good for 3 more days but the Summer Mini goes active on Sunday. Woo hoo!!! I just love it. I can't get enough of the DSP's and I have most of the stamp sets already. The new 3 in 1 punch design is awesome and I have already made some cards using them. It will be a great summer!!!

This is another card from our April card class. I love the in colors and I am so glad they will be with us another year. Can't wait to see what will be added this July for our new incolors. Stampin' Up is just an awesome company. I'm so happy to be part of them.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Sets: Sincere Salutations and Silouette Sentiments

Cardstock: Whisper White and Peach Parfitt

Ink: Peach Parfitt and Pear Pizzazz

Accessories: Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Boho Blossoms Punch, Basic Rhinestones, 1 1/4" Pumpkin Pie Striped Ribbon and 1/2" Peach Parfitt Poly Ribbon, and Stampin' Dimensionals

Hope this inspires your creativity.
Thanks for stoppin in and I'll see you again real soon. Thanks for your comments, I always like to hear from everyone. Have a great day and happy stampin'.

Sail Away

That's what I feel like doing when I look at this card. That boat looks so inviting. I am just loving this summer mini that you can order from next week. There are a few stamp sets good for masculine cards and we really needed some of them. I usually don't purchase much from the mini's but I have most everything from this one. I hope you find lots that you like. The new punches are awesome.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Sets: Sail Away and Something to Celebrate

Cardstock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist

Ink: Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist

Accessories: The new Cherry Cobbler/Whisper White Bakers Twine, and Stampin' Dimensionals

Pretty simple but a very nice way to say Happy Birthday to a husband, brother, Dad etc.

Thanks for stoppin in and I hope this inspires you to check out the Summer Mini. I appreciate your visits and would appreciate any comments you care to leave. Until next time...... enjoy creating your own projects.

Something to Celebrate

I love Dazzling Diamonds, the Big Shot and new things. This card has them all. I am so thrilled with the Summer Mini catalog. Everything in it says 'Buy Me'. So I have pre-ordered much and have already had fun with several new things. My customers should have received theirs by now and I hope they are ready to play also.

I just love the Big Shot and all of it's accessories but I am especially partial to the Impression Embossing Folders. I try to use one or more in each card class. I really like the new one coming out. It looks so elegant on a card. I purchased the Pastels finally and I am so happy with them. They give a completely different look to your image than the Markers give. This card is an example of what you can expect from them.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: Something to Celebrate

Cardstock: Rose Red, Basic Black and Pink Pirouette DSP

Ink: Rose Red and Stampin' Pastels

Accessories: 2 way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Wide Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Basic Black 5/8" Satin Ribbon , the Big Shot with the new Flower Garden Embossing Folder and Stampin' Dimensionals

Gor-ge-ous!!!!! Thanks for stoppin in and I will see you again soon. Hope this gives you some inspiration to use your Pastels.

June

Ornate Blossom

This image caused some discussion at card class on Saturday. One person said it looked like a crab and another thought it was like an artichoke. I guess everything is in the eye of the beholder. Anyway they liked the Iridescent Ice technique and the different look it gives to cardstock.

Remember you can still get in on purchasing the new designer series paper and Four Frames stamp set until April 30th. After that you have to wait until July to have fun using these.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: Ornate Blossom and Something to Celebrate

Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry and Pink Pirouette

Ink: Melon Mambo and Versa Mark

Accessories: Iridescent Ice powder, heat tool, powder pal, Scallop Border Punch, 3/8" Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon, mini glue dots and Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks for stoppin in and I will be back soon. Must get cutting cardstock for my workshop tomorrow evening. There will be nine ladies and I'm sure we'll have lots of fun.

Hugs,

June

Blossom Petals

My what a busy time the past few weeks and this week is not different. From last Saturday to this coming Saturday, I will have held 3 card classes, a Big Shot class and a workshop. It is really nice to have the activity for my business but it would be nicer if it wasn't all in one week.(lol).

This is the first of the 8 cards we did in my card class last Saturday. We had a small class of 5 but we just had a blast. One person had never stamped before and we were all amazed at how quickly she took to everything and basically worked on her own for more than half the cards. She was so excited and plans to come back again this Saturday. It is so rewarding when you see folks just having a good time and loving what they are doing.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: Inspired by Nature

Cardstock: Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla

Ink: Garden Green

Accessories: 5/8" Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, 1" Circle Punch, Paper Snips, Blossom Petals Punch , the Big Shot with the Finial Press Embossing Folder, and Stampin' dimensionals

I wanted my customers to know that you can do more with the punches than you think. They don't have to always cut out the stamps that they are made for. Everyone loved this card and it brought back memories to some of younger days.

Thanks for stoppin and I hope to see you soon.

Hugs,
June

My Rose Garden

Since I don't have a card ready to post today, I thought I would post pictures of my beautiful roses. I saw Patti Bennette's yesterday and decided to show mine today. This is called a Disneyland Rose. It has yellow, pink and peach colored roses all on the same bush. So colorful and gorgeous when in full bloom.

This is my biggest rose bush and has the biggest roses ( 6 to 8 inches across the bloom). They bloomed every month except January. That's when my husband trimmed the bush back. Then in February the buds started and it's been in full bloom ever since. Just the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. I get a bouquet from him once a week to set on my breakfast bar. Oh so fabulous!!!

Hopefully, I can get a card designed today to post for tomorrow. I just haven't seemed to have any mojo this week. I am waiting for my new stamps from the Summer Mini to arrive. Then I am sure to get some ideas.

Thanks for stoppin and I'll be back soon.

Hugs,

June

Occasional Quotes

Happy April to all of you! It is a beautiful spring day and I am ready to go for another great month with Stampin' Up. I just love there promotions and products.

The promotion for April is very special. You can earn or purchase a stamp set and designer series paper that won't officially come out until the new 2011-2012 catalog premiers on July 1st. This hasn't been done before so it is a real special promotion for all of us.

So you really need to see your demonstrator and book a workshop to earn the special for free or give her a $20 order and you can purchase the stamp set for $15.95 clear or $20.95 wood and the paper is just $9.95. What a deal!!

Card Recipe: Stamp Set: Occasional Quotes

Cardstock: Rose Red, Very Vanilla and Springtime Vintage DSP

Ink: River Rock

Accessories: Rose Red Seam Binding, Decorative Label Punch and Stampin' Dimensionals

I used a 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" card. The squares for the quilt are 1 1/2" square.

This was a fun card and since I am a quilter it was extra fun for me to do. Hope you enjoyed it and will try one of your own.

Thanks for stoppin in and hope to see you soon.
Hugs,
June
