Mixed Bunch

This is the second card we did in June. I just love this stamp set and the paper. I also really like the fact there is a punch for the flower. I am getting real partial to punches that match our stamps. It makes my work so much easier and looks so much better than if I cut it free hand.

Rich Razzleberry is also a favorite color of mine. You will see lots of it this year no doubt.

September card class is coming up this Saturday and if you live in the area we would really like to have you join us. Just email me and I will give you all the info. We have so much fun and you take home 8 cards to use as inspiration and to send to someone.

Nature's Silhouette

Today is another sad day and I would ask that you continue to pray for my friends, Teri, Ruth, and Marlene. Cancer is such a terrible disease and I wish they could come up with a cure for all kinds of it. I have lost 3 sibblings and so many other relatives and friends that have had cancer or other forms of it and I am so saddened by these events. Sometimes I feel like howling like the wolf below.(or screaming)

Here is my first card from the April class. I am sad to see that this set is retiring but hopefully they will replace it with something just as good. It is hard to find good stamps for male cards.

Card Recipe:

Stamp sets: Natures Silhouette and God's Blessings

Card stock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Mocha Morning DSP

Ink: Soft Suede

Accessories: Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Crumb Cake seam binding, and dimensionals

Thanks for stoppin' in,
Stamping hugs,
June

Punch Card

We had some really nice rain showers yesterday and today is still cloudy with the sun peeking out every once in a while. Nice time of the year, fall. I love it!!

We had a good team meeting last night. I was able to help with some training on the Stampin' Up website and personal blog training as well. One of the ladies taught us some new gift ideas and all in all we had an enjoyable evening!

I saw a card similar to this on someone's blog(sorry I can't remember who's it was) and decided to see what my ladies would think of it. They loved it and it is so easy to make. I know some of my friends and relatives will get this for Christmas. So cute!!!

Card Recipe:

Stamp set: Good Cheer (retired) for the sentiment

Card stock: Cherry Cobbler 4 1/4 x 11, Bashful Blue 4 x 5 1/4, Whisper White for fence and snow (torn 2" wide piece) fence is 2 Jewelery tags high, Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip.

Accessories: Pennant Punch for tree branches, Modern Label punch for tree trunk, Jewelry Tag punch for fence, White Gel pen for dots on tree

I think I will play with punches a little more. Everyone loves using punches.

Paisley Petals

Final card for this group. Card class for May is coming up on Tuesday the 10th and Saturday the 14th. If you live in the area and would like to join us, it is $12 or at least a $16 merchandise order before tax and shipping. Email me at least 2 days prior to class if you are coming. My email address will be at the bottom of this post.

I just got another order from the Summer Mini and can hardly wait to use the flower stamps. They are so beautiful. My mind is swirling in anticipation of what I will be creating. I will no doubt have many dreams tonight.

For this card I used Not Quite Navy, Whisper White and Paisley Petals DSP. So glad I bought a few extra packages to use from now til July. I just love this paper. Sorry I can't remember tonight what stamp sets the images are from but if you have them you will know. You could really use any sentiments you want to. I also used Baja Breeze Seam Binding. That's another item I have fallen in love with. So glad to here they are carrying over. My punch was the Modern Label and of course I used Stampin' Dimensionals as I always do on the top layers. I like that 3D dimension look.

Thanks for stoppin in and hope to see you again real soon. With the week-end coming, my daughter arriving from Michigan on Saturday and Sunday brunch in the mountains for Mother's Day I'm not sure I will post again before Monday.

Have a great week-end and all you Mom's have a great Mother's Day. I know I will.

Stampin' Hugs,
June

The Open Sea

It is hard to believe all the bad weather in the East when it is so beautiful here in San Diego. My son is enjoying the sunshine and getting a nice tan. I know he will hate to go home next week and leave this wonderful weather behind him.

Here is another card from our last card class. I don't usually use all browns as I did here but it makes a nice masculine card. It would be fun to sail around the world in this clipper ship.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: The Open Sea and Clearly For You

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Nautical Expedition DSP

Ink: Early Espresso

Accessories: Modern Label Punch, 1/4" Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon and Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks for stoppin! Hope you are having as much fun and I with the new Summer Mini products. Until next time.......... happy creating.

Stampin' Hugs,
June

Amour

Just got back from breakfast with friends. Good pancakes and scrambled eggs. It's a cool sunny day and I'm ready for action. I need to get insides of all my cards done. I should learn to do them at the time I make the cards. I always say I'm going to and then 'ola' it never gets done. I also have to get designing for this months card class on the 19th.

This is another card from my January card class. I love the punches and the Big Shot and that Scallop Heart of Hearts Embosslit. I really don't know how I ever got along without them. I just know that they make life easier and cards more beautiful.

I used the Amour stamp from Artistic Etchings

Cardstock: Real Red, Basic Black, Real Red DSP, Very Vanilla and Love Letter DSP

Ink: Jet Black Stazon

Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop Heart of Hearts Embosslit, Two-step Bird Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Real Red 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon, Modern Label Punch and Stampin Dimensionals.

I just love using the punches as much as possible. I think the cards look more professional and really gorgeous. Hope this inspires you to make something today.

Thanks for stoppin in and hope to see you again soon.

Hugs,
June

Autumn Days

I need a couple of masculine birthday cards this month so this is the first of two. I really like this set. It reminds me of fall in Michigan. Driving through the countryside you see lots of Pheasants and pine trees and wheat. This time of year I really miss home and getting ready for the holidays with all the family. We have been in Southern California for two years already and I don't think I will ever get used to not having snow at Christmas and the beautiful leaves in the fall. I do like to spend a lot of time in the mountains now because it feels more like home there. My husband has done so well here however, that there is no chance of ever going back to live.

This card is simple but nice and easy for new stampers to do. I will use this for a make-n-take at my next workshop as most of my customers are new to stamping. It would also be good for a card class with new stampers. Can't believe I got through this one without thwacking or using the Big Shot. Wow!!

Stamp sets: Autumn Days and Occasional Quotes

Cardstock: Crumb Cake for the card
Cajun Craze layer 4 x 5 1/4
Naturals Ivory layer 3 3/4 x 5

Ink: Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze

Accessories: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Always Artichoke markers, Modern Label and Designer Label punches, Early Expresso Grosgrain 1/4" ribbon, snail and dimensionals

I hope you like it and will get inspired by it.

Thanks for stoppin in!

Have a blessed night!
