Anyway, I got creative yesterday because of all my fussing, and made 3 cards from a tutorial I found a while back on danniesdesigns.typepad.com. She has such beautiful cards on her site and I am on there often. This is one I really liked and it is easy to do.
inside of card.
I started with a piece of Rich Razzleberry, 4 x 12 for the card base. Cut 1 piece of Cottage Wall DSP 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 and cut in two diagonially. 1 square of Old Olive 2 7/8 x 2 7/8. Go around outside with the Border Trim Corner Punch and Border Trim Punch, makes a nice lacey look.
Then do 1 square 2 3/16 x 2 3/16 of Rich Razzleberry. The circle is stamped on Naturals White with a stamp from Vintage Labels and cut out with the Scallop Circle punch. I used the beautiful wings embosslit for the butterflies from Rich Razzleberry cardstock. Finished it off with Old Olive 5/8 satin ribbon. Also used dimensionals. Words are from Picture This.
This one is done in Sage Shadow and Chocolate Chip, with some retired dsp. I thought it was a little more masculine looking for a guys birthday. The bird on the front I cut out of the dsp. I sponged around everything with Chocolate Chip Ink.
This one is done in Not Quite Navy, Certainly Celery and So Saffron with some retired dsp. I am trying to use all my old dsp up so I can justify getting all the new stuff. (lol)
Now on with the scrapbook I thought I would leave you a few more pages since there will be no post tomorrow and maybe not Friday. I don't know how long the hospital stay will be but I know I will be expected to spend my days there for as long as need be. Hope you enjoy the following pages and will get inspired for Scrapbooking Month.
