Here is one more card from Octobers card class. In November we meet on Saturday the 12th or Tuesday the 15th. If you would like to come just email me and let me know. We do 8 cards and envelopes for $12 or at least a $19 merchandise order.

Christmas Lodge

Had to have some tests this a.m. but am back and on the job now. Hope you are all having a great morning and Ruth I hope you are having a great vacation. You deserve one.

Please keep my daughter and her husband in your prayers today as he is having a very rough time with his chemo. Hopefully he will get the cell transplant and every thing will get back to normal real soon.

I was glad to hear that Teri is home from the hospital and I am praying she is getting better quickly. So much sickness, I don't like it.

This is one of the Christmas cards we did in October. I try to do at least 2 Christmas cards each month after I do the stamp-a-stack because that gives everyone a few more choices for cards to give.

I really love this stamp set and I know it will not be in my retired sale even if it retires. The lodge looks like one in our local mountains and I just love going there. This tree is also the perfect Christmas tree, I used to look for one like this when we went to the woods to cut our own.

Card Recipe:
Stamp sets:  Christmas Lodge and Many Merry Messages

Cardstock: Riding Hood Red 4 1/4 x 11 and 7/8 x 3 7/8, Frostwood Lodge DSP 4 x 5 1/4, Garden Green 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 and Whisper White 3 1/8 x 4 3/8 and 3/4 x 3 3/4

Ink: Garden Green and Riding Hood Red

Accessories: Basic Rhinestones or silver brads and Dimensionals

Thanks for stoppin in and I'll see you real soon.

Butterfly Prints

We are in a mess today with the painting but it will all be over soon. It's looking good and the rooms will be much brighter. I am lovin' it. My son is so good to me.

I know my children in Michigan were disappointed with the game yesterday between, Michigan and Michigan State. It's too bad State had to win. Maybe next time!

This is another of our October cards. I am really going to use that Perfectly Penned set a lot. It just looks so good.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: Perfectly Penned and Butterfly Prints

Cardstock: Melon Mambo 4 1/4 x 11, Wild Wasabi 4 x 5 1/4 and 3 x 3 3/4 and scrap for scallop circle, Whisper White 3 3/4 x 5, scraps for circle, butterfly and sentiment, Beyond the Garden DSP 2 3/4 x 3 1/2

Accessories: Big Shot w/Polka Dot Embossing Folder, 2 3/8 scallop circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Butterfly punch, Decorative Label punch, 1/4" Rose Red Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals and Glue dots

Perfectly Penned

What a busy day! Bonnie and I worked on cards and just had a good time together all day. She is such a blessing.

Tomorrow is painting day again. My kitchen and family room ceiling and the walls in the family room will all be a  nice Capicino color by tomorrow night. I so appreciate our son and Debbie. It would never get done if I had to do it. My arms just don't reach up well anymore. I am so excited to see the finished product.

Here is another card from October's card class. I am loving the stamp set Perfectly Penned. Such elegant writting and that art is almost lost.

Card Recipe:

Perfectly Penned and Fabulous Florets stamp sets

So simple yet so nice.

One of my card class ladies is in the hospital and I would ask all of you to keep her in your prayers. She is a sweetheart and we all want her to be well real soon.

Perfectly Penned

Good afternoon to you all. This is a hot beautiful day and I mean hot. 95 degrees in Santee at 2 pm. Of course the air is on and it is very pleasant in here.(lol)

I'm getting ready for my first club meeting on October 22nd. So far we have 5 members. If you would like to become a member email or phone me and we will talk about it. If you don't want to be a member you can just come and make the cards and not participate in any of the benefits. It's your choice.

This is the second card for October. I really love this cursive lettering. There are four stamps in the set and they are all this gorgeous writing. Gives our cards a lot of class.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: Perfectly Penned

Cardstock: River Rock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and 2 1/4 x 2 1/4, Paisley Petals DSP 4 x 5 1/4, Chocolate Chip 2 1/2 x 2 1/2, Whisper White 2 x 2

Gently Falling

It's time to start getting ready for November's card class now. I would like to get them done early for a change. It seems I am working until the last minute every month now. Maybe this month will be different.

Fall has been in the air for a few days and now tomorrow we go back to summer for a couple of days. Supposed to be mid 90's for Wednesday and Thursday and then cooler for the week-end. Very mild Santa-anna coming through from the North. Fire alert out for San Diego County, especially in the north county area of Fall Brook. There is a lot of dead trees and grass up that way so they say.

Here is the first of the 8 cards we did this month. Eleven ladies did these and they had such a good time. I am so blessed to have such faithful and wonderful friends. They are my friends not just card class people. Everyone means something special to me and I just want to say thank you for letting me get to know you.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Sets: Gently Falling and Thankful For (retired)

Card stock: Cajun Craze 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 1 1/2 and 4 1/4, Very Vanilla 4 x 5 1/4 and 2 1/4 x 4, So Saffron 2 1/2 x 4 1/4

Ink: More Mustard, So Saffron, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Lucky Limeade

Accessories: 1/4" Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon

Thanks for stoppin' in and I'll see you soon.

Always Thankful

I really love this stamp set and have used it for several cards already. It gives a real feeling for fall.

Card class went very well yesterday and everyone loved the new cards. We even had a snack of Shortbread Cookies made with Stampin' Up's new cookie press tool. Of course I used the pumpkin image one and everyone loved them. Only one left from the whole batch, so guess they passed the test.

This is the last card from the September card class. I love these colors together and I am really lovin' using the wide ribbon. It just gives a card a special look.

Card Recipe:

Stamp sets: Always Thankful and the retired set Thankful For

Cardstock: Naturals Ivory 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, 2 1/2 x 3 1/2, Early Espresso 3 7/8 x 5 1/8, 2 5/8 x 3 5/8, scraps of Ivory and Espresso for sentiment, Spice Cake DSP 3 3/4 x 5

It is really chilly this morning, 44 degrees at 7:30 am. Good sweatshirt weather in my book. I am lovin' it but my hubby doesn't share my feelings. He is ready to turn on the furnace. Punch Card

We had some really nice rain showers yesterday and today is still cloudy with the sun peeking out every once in a while. Nice time of the year, fall. I love it!!

We had a good team meeting last night. I was able to help with some training on the Stampin' Up website and personal blog training as well. One of the ladies taught us some new gift ideas and all in all we had an enjoyable evening!

I saw a card similar to this on someone's blog(sorry I can't remember who's it was) and decided to see what my ladies would think of it. They loved it and it is so easy to make. I know some of my friends and relatives will get this for Christmas. So cute!!!

My Friend

It is very cool here this morning, time for jeans and sweaters. We are to get more rain later today and it is to be pretty severe with wind I understand but we really needed the rain. It gets very dry in the summer and I am looking forward to everything turning green again.

I spent yesterday with one of my Tuesday card class ladies, she couldn't make next week's class so she did it early this month. We had a blast just the two of us in my stamping studio. I wouldn't mind having someone come every day to stamp with me. I spend a lot of time in here and it was nice to have someone to talk to. Thanks Bonnie for a great day!!

Thank You Kindly

Hard to believe it is October already. Where has the year gone? Fall is in the air this morning, cooler temps and we are to get rain tomorrow and Wednesday. We sure need that.
I really have to work today, I still have 3 cards to create for card class on Saturday and I have one person coming early tomorrow to do the class because she is going out of town and won't be here to do it Saturday. I seem to have trouble creating this month, don't know why. Hopefully everything will turn out great with God's help.

Stitched Stockings

I went to breakfast at the club house this morning and found out that a neighbor had died this week. He was only in his late 50's and had just totally redone his house and bought a new pick up that hadn't even received it's new license as yet. It really makes me think how fragile life is and how it can be snuffed out in a blink of an eye. I think God may be saying make the most of today it may be your last. We do tend to take things for granted and we certainly should not do that. I would say live this day to the fullest, do whatever good you can do for someone else and enjoy every moment of it.

Now on to happier things. It's a beautiful day and I am working on cards for Saturday's card class. Thinking I would rather be at the bay watching the boats and reading a good book. Maybe tomorrow if I get everything done today. We are supposed to have a cooler week and maybe some rain so I should enjoy the sunshine while I can.

Here is the 3rd card from September's card class. I really love this new stamp set and matching punch. I am so glad we are getting more of the punches to match stamp sets. My people really love punches, they say they work much better than scissors.(lol)

I used Always Artichoke 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 for the main card. Riding Hood Red is 4 x 5 1/4, Confetti White is 3 3/4 x 5. The sentiment is from Many Merry Messages and stamped in Riding Hood Red ink. The stockings are done in Garden Green and Riding Hood Red ink. The accessories used are: the Stocking Punch, Jingle Bells, Linen Thread, Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots.

Thanks for stoppin' in and I'll see you tomorrow.
Hugs,
June
