Friends Never Fade
It's a beautiful morning in Southern California. Last night we slept with our windows open. First time in months. It will be in the 80's here again today. We went from winter to summer in a matter of days. However, I guess spring will be here next week, it will only be in the 70's.
This is one more of our March card class cards. I have one more for next time. I just love this new paper that you can get in April only. It is just gorgeous. All my customers love it and I have 4 workshops booked for April because of it.
Card Recipe:
Stamp Set: Friends Never Fade
Cardstock: River Rock, Bravo Burgundy, Very Vanilla, Peach Parfait and Paisley Petals DSP
Ink: Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: 1/2" Peach Parfait Poly Stitched Ribbon and Stampin' Dimensionals
The small squares are 1 1/4" Peach Parfait and 1 1/8" for the DSP. The large one is 3 3/4" Peach Parfait and the DSP is 3 5/8". Mostly just cutting cardstock for this one.
Thanks for stoppin in and hope to see you soon. I hope you enjoy making this card and that it will inspire you to design some of your own.
Hugs,
June

Just Believe
It's a cloudy Sunday morning in Southern California but the temp is in the 60's, so not so bad. Just had a magnificent Belgian Waffle at Ihop.
Sorry I haven't posted the last couple of days but we have a family member who is very sick and I have been spending most of my time on that. My daughter is having to return to Michigan and take care of some things and it's been a pretty dramatic time for both of us.
Here is another of March's card class cards. Hope you like it and use it to inspire you to make your own.

After Thoughts
The rain has gone for a day but will be back again tonight. So many storms coming off the ocean. Anyway, we have sunshine for a while and it's better than snow. Our local mountains have snow above 5000 ft and it looks so pretty up there, 40 miles away. At least I don't have to drive in it.
Here is another card from this month's card class. This was one of the favorites.
I started with a Whisper White card 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I then layered a piece of Pear Pizzazz 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". Next is a layer 4" x 5 1/4"of the new DSP called Paisley Petals that becomes available to purchase in April only and not again until July 1st. It is awesome!! I tied a piece of 5/8" Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon around those two layers together and used adhesive to put them on the card front. Next I cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz 2 3/8" x 3 3/8" and layered it with Whisper White 2 1/4" x 3 1/4". I stamped the sentiment with Rose Red ink. The flowers were punched with the Boho Blossoms Punch and the leaves are punched with the small leaf from the new Blossom Petal Punch. The top layers are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals, the flowers and leaves with glue dots. I finished off the flowers with Basic Rhinestones.
Hope you like this as much as my card class ladies did and that it inspires you to make one also.
Thanks for stoppin in and I'll see you again soon.
Hugs,
June

Three Little Words
Wow! It rained a lot more yesterday and in the night. It is still partly cloudy this morning and looks like we could get more rain. This is a picture of the beautiful bouquet of roses my husband brought me Sunday from his rose garden. Aren't they gorgeous!! and they smell so fantastic.
I have two ladies coming today to do the cards from Saturdays card class so I better get busy cutting. I am also getting ready for a Big Shot class on Sunday so it will be a busy week again. I love being busy. I also have a workshop on the 30th to get ready for. I just love sharing my love of stamping with everyone.
Stamp Set: Three Little Words
Cardstock: Whisper White and Marina Mist and Springtime Vintage DSP
Ink: Marina Mist
Accessories: Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, 1 1/4" Striped Marina Mist Ribbon and Stampin' Dimensionals
Thanks for stoppin in! Hope to see you soon. Have a wonderful day.

Strength and Hope
It rained very hard last night and is partly cloudy this morning. I think the rain is supposed to stop today. It is so refreshing and everything is so green right now. We must enjoy it while we can.
Card class was so much fun on Saturday. Everyone was joking and laughing and sharing what they love. I think a good time was had by all! I know I really enjoyed it and the dinner with 2 of the ladies afterward at Felippe's Italian Restaurant, just around the corner from our house. The food was so good and we brought enough home to make 3 more meals for us. They certainly don't want you to go away hungry.
Enough chatter. You are probably wanting to know about this card not how much I ate.
Card Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Strength and Hope, and Occasional Quotes
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Whisper White and the new Paisley Petal DSP
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Always Artichoke Seam Binding, paper snips to cut out butterfly, Baja Breeze Stampin' Write Marker, mini glue dots and Stampin' Dimensionals
A little tip on the butterfly. If you stamp it on the card stock and then stamp another and cut it out you can place it over the first one and have the attenna's show and you don't have to try and cut them out. I used glue dots to adhere him so he is raised a little but not quite as much as dimensionals would do. I just love the new designer series paper that will be available to my customers and hostesses in April.
Thanks for stoppin! See you again soon.
Hugs,
June

Easter Blossoms
Finally! I am back! I have just had so much in the works this week and I'm sorry I haven't been posting as I should.
The new freeway is opening this morning that runs by our mobile park and there has been a lot of activity. I didn't realize the commotion a new road causes. The Mayor cut the ribbon and people walked it and rode bikes on it and even the school bands were out playing at 8:30 am.
It looks like a cloudy and cool day but it beats snow and floods any day!

Build A Blossom
Wow! What a week this has been. Our grandson and girl friend have been here from Michigan since Tuesday and we have had a fun week. On Wednesday we went to see the Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum. That is something to see. Anyway, today I decided I had to get back to business since I have a workshop tomorrow at 1p.m.
This is my first card using this set and I think I am going to love it! I also used the new DSP that customers can order in April. I know I love it. I ordered the maximum we could pre-order, 3 packages and I will be using them a lot.

Something to Celebrate
I love dazzle! This card really dazzled and it is so beautiful. My card class ladies really liked it and I had an aniversary come up last month so it met two purposes. I was so glad to get in on the special purchase of the Pretties Kit. I love these cloth flowers and they color so easy with a dauber or sponge.
Getting ready to enjoy a great week-end. The weather is just beautiful again today. I feel so blessed to live where it is warm most of the time.

Lovely As A Tree
This is my most favorite stamp set ever!! I have made many cards with the row of trees and I love them covered in Dazzling Diamonds. That sparkle just does something special to a card no matter the occasion.
We wanted to do a masculine birthday card this month so I chose the single tree. It just looks so majestic to me. I think because I was raised in Michigan that trees are just very special to me. My husband was also a wood worker and he knows every kind of tree and type of wood that exists. It never ceases to amaze me that he can look at an old board and tell what kind of wood it is.

Nature Walk
wow! It's the first of March already and we only have one more month of Sale-a Bration. I have had so many customers getting free stamp sets and I love to see that. I believe in taking advantage of anything you can get for free. My last two workshops have been over $500 so my hostesses have gotten an extra set for free. They were ecstatic! Love it!!!
This is another February card class creation. First time I have used this set as well. I think I will like this one too. I just love everything about Stampin' Up I have to admit it. Fanatic!!
