Just Believe

Good morning! It's been a busy week and I finally have some time this morning to do a post. Here is another card from out last card class. I just love the punches along with the Big Shot. Actually I think I love just about everything from Stampin' Up. Couldn't live without any of it.

I spent sometime this week with fellow stampers and it was the highlight of my week. It is so good to have good friends and even more so when they like the same things you do. I plan to spend a day this week with one of my new friends that attends my Tuesday card class. We are going to mount all her new stamp sets and organize her craft room. Should be a fun day!!

For this card we used Rose Red for the card. We layered it with Beyond the Garden DSP and a piece of Pear Pizzazz run through the Big Shot with the Finial Press Embossing Folder. Next comes a piece of Rose Red put through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder. Next I used Pacific Point and on top a piece from the Ice Cream Parlor DSP. I used the Mat Pack and the Paper Piercing Tool to accent the DSP and the Scallop Circle. The flowers were cut with the 5 Petal Flower Punch and we placed a Rhinestone Brad in the center of each. The sentiment is from Just Believe.

Hope you are all having a great Memorial Day week-end.
Thanks for stoppin' in. See you soon. Have fun creating !!

Hugs,
June

Happy Greetings

It is a cloudy Saturday morning and I really did not want to get up, but here I am. The last week has been cool, in the low 60's and it looks like we will get rain tomorrow. I am ready for the 70's and 80's to come back. I like spring to be warm and sunny.

Here is another May card class card. We did have fun with so many things from the Summer Mini. I do so enjoy my card class ladies. They are so much fun and seem to enjoy making the cards and laughing and joking together. If you live in the area you really should come join us. The next class is on Saturday June 4th at 1pm at my house and for those who can't come on Saturdays I also will have one on Tuesday June 7th at 1pm. Hope you can make one. Just email me at june.switzer@yahoo.com to let me know you are coming.

For this card I used the sentiment from Happy Greetings from the Summer Mini. I also used Beyond the Garden designer series paper and the stamp set Flower Fest. I love these stamp sets that co-ordinate with punches. I used Tangerine Tango and Whisper White cardstock, and the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White and cut it out with the Scallop Oval Punch and then cut another oval from Daffodil Delight with the Wide Oval Punch to mat it. I used a strip of 5/8 Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon to cover the seam in the center. I stamped the flower in Tangerine Tango and cut it out with the 2 3/8 inch Scallop Circle Punch.

What a bright and cheery card to send to a friend! I wouldn't mind receiving something like this, would you? I hope this inspires you to buy and use supplies from the Summer Mini. I know you won't be sorry you did.

Thanks for stoppin in! See you again soon.

Hugs,
June

Butterflies

It is another cool day and I'm just wanting to curl up with a good book but work must go on. I have been going through past card class creations and putting cardstock inside and getting ready to send out some birthday cards. I really have been lax in sending cards out lately. Thanks Ronda for reminding me this morning about Thank You cards also.

This is another creation for our May card class. I used the Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterflies Die with Basic Black Cardstock and Vellum Cardstock for the butterflies. I also put the Vellum ones through the Big Shot with the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. They came out so pretty. I then put 3 Basic Rhinestones down the center of them for the body. Cool look!! I used Basic Black and Certainly Celery cardstock and Certainly Celery DSP. Simple and Clean but very pretty!

Hope this inspires you to create your own simple and clean cards. They are sometimes the best.

Thanks for stoppin in! See you again real soon.

Hugs,
June

Swirls and Curls Verses

I imagine you were wondering when I would post again. Well, I am finally back. It has been a busy week with our son leaving and our daughter returning and card classes and workshops and and every day life. I am amazed that I am still able to function properly.

We had so much fun at the card classes this week. I had two new ladies and they are just wonderful people and fit right in with the regular group. This is the first of the 8 cards we made. If you would like to be part of our fantastic group next month just email me at june.switzer@yahoo.com and let me know. I will be happy to email you details and welcome you to our group.

Paisley Petals

Final card for this group. Card class for May is coming up on Tuesday the 10th and Saturday the 14th. If you live in the area and would like to join us, it is $12 or at least a $16 merchandise order before tax and shipping. Email me at least 2 days prior to class if you are coming. My email address will be at the bottom of this post.

I just got another order from the Summer Mini and can hardly wait to use the flower stamps. They are so beautiful. My mind is swirling in anticipation of what I will be creating. I will no doubt have many dreams tonight.

For this card I used Not Quite Navy, Whisper White and Paisley Petals DSP. So glad I bought a few extra packages to use from now til July. I just love this paper. Sorry I can't remember tonight what stamp sets the images are from but if you have them you will know. You could really use any sentiments you want to. I also used Baja Breeze Seam Binding. That's another item I have fallen in love with. So glad to here they are carrying over. My punch was the Modern Label and of course I used Stampin' Dimensionals as I always do on the top layers. I like that 3D dimension look.

Thanks for stoppin in and hope to see you again real soon. With the week-end coming, my daughter arriving from Michigan on Saturday and Sunday brunch in the mountains for Mother's Day I'm not sure I will post again before Monday.

Have a great week-end and all you Mom's have a great Mother's Day. I know I will.

Stampin' Hugs,
June

Fast and Fabulous

It's a sad day and a happy day all in one. Our oldest son who had come to visit from Michigan the Saturday before Easter left this morning to go home, however our daughter who has been in Michigan for 5 weeks will be returning to California on this Saturday. So I am sad one left but very happy the other is coming back.

Laurie has missed our beautiful weather and hopefully her parents as well. I know she will be so happy to be back at school with her kids and anxious to do her card class again as well. She won't be doing one in May but she will in June. I will be doing my May card class on the 14th instead of the 3rd Saturday. In June I will be having mine the first Saturday and every month thereafter. It will work out better that way with holidays coming up.

This card is the 7th one from our April card class. It's the first time I used this set but I think it will get used alot the next couple of months since it is a hostess set and will be gone with our new catalog coming out in July.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Sets: Fast & Fabulous and After Thoughts

Cardstock: Early Espresso, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango and Sahara Sand

Ink: Early Espresso, Early Espresso and Tangerine Tango Markers

Accessories: Scallop Border Trim Punch, Decorative Label Punch, 1/4" Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon and Stampin' Dimensionals

If you don't have these stamp sets you might want to book a workshop so you could earn them. Only 2 months left to get them since they are both hostess sets. You can email me or call me if you would like to book a workshop.

Thanks for stoppin in! I'll see you tomorrow with the last card in this series. Until then..... happy stampin'.

June
