GREETING CARD KIDS 1

Good Saturday morning from Southern California! It is going to be another warm day here but our humidity has broken so that is good. The air hasn't come on yet and it is almost noon so that is good.

The card below was designed for the challenge on Paper Players this week (APP11). I love to do challenges even though I have not been selected as a winner as yet, it is still challenging my creativity and I love it.

I started with a 5 1/4 x 51/4 base card of Cherry Cobbler. Then I layered that with a 5 1/8 x 5 1/8 piece of Always Artichoke. Next layer is a 5 x5 piece of the beautiful 'Deck the Halls' DSP from the Holiday Mini ( I love this paper). I cut a 2" strip from Very Vanilla and punched opposite long sides with the Scallop Trim Punch. I layered it with a 1" strip of Cherry Cobbler. I cut my Always Artichoke plain circle with the now retired Coluzzle which I also love. Then I cut my scallop circle from Very Vanilla with the Scallop Circle #2 Die and the wonderful Big Shot. I then stamped my image on the scallop circle using the stamp set 'Greeting Card Kids' which I also love. I could say that about just about everything in the new mini catalog. Next I punched 2 holes for the Glimmer Brads Basics with my Crop-A-dile. I put the circles on with dimensionals. I used the Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke markers to color the image. Lastly, I sponged around all layers with Cherry Cobbler and/or Always Artichoke. Nice finish!

I know it is only August but it is never to soon to start designing your Christmas cards. December will be here before we know it. I hope you like this card as much as I do and that it will inspire you to start designing your own Christmas cards soon.

Thanks for stoppin in!

Have a Blessed Day!
