Jack of All Trades

I have been out shopping this morning and now it's time for work. I got about 15 Christmas cards done yesterday and still have 25 or so to go. I would like to have them in the mail this week, we shall see! I am also getting ready for my party on Saturday. Looking forward to some fun and fellowship with very good friends, my card class girls.

This is the third card we did in November. I really love these pumpkins and that designer series paper. I will hate to see it go in January. I plan to stock up on some before then.

Lace Ribbon Border Punch

Well Thanksgiving and Black Friday are over and all is well. I didn't go out for early shopping however, I did go shopping on Saturday at City Lights Christmas store and oh my goodness! That shop is almost as good as Bronners in Michigan. Not quite as large but what a variety of decorations. You could even have a Mermaid tree if you like that sort of decor. I was amazed and pleasantly pleased with my purchases from there. I just love Christmas!! It is my favorite holiday and I could stay decorated all year round if someone would let me.

I am getting ready for my open house this Saturday. I have invited my regular card class attenders to a special fun time just to thank them for their continued support. I have come to love each one of them in a special way and count them all as friends not just customers. Stampin' Up has a way of doing that for you. I am so happy to be a part of such a great company.

This is the 2nd card we did in November. I was playing with the punch one day and punched a piece of designer paper like what's pictured here and thought Wow! that would look awesome on a card. So here it is.

Card Recipe:

Stamp set: Well Scripted (retired)

Card stock: Pink Pirouette 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and a scrap for the Scallop Oval punch, Concord Crush 4 x 5 1/4, Flirtatious DSP 3 x 3 3/4 punched once in the center with the Scallop Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Wisteria Wonder for the Decorative Label punch

Ink: Concord Crush

Accessories: punches, Whisper White taffeta ribbon and Dimensionals

Thanks for stoppin in and I'll see you soon.
Hugs,
June

Hand Penned Holidays

Wow it has been a long time since I was here. Life sure has a way of distracting you from what you would really like to be doing.

Please continue to pray for my daughter Laurie and husband. They are at Uof M Medical Hospital today to see when they will do his stem cell transplant. It has been a long, grueling road so far and they really need some relief. She finally got to have some fun yesterday with her first card class in Michigan. They did a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack and that was so good for her. She needed the deversion.

This card is the first of my November card class. We had such fun and we also had one new person come and we so enjoyed having her. We made the last of the Christmas cards this month as next meeting will be closer to Christmas, so we did 4 Christmas this month. I hope you like them and will use them to make your own.

Card Recipe:

Stamp set: Hand-Penned Holidays (I love this one)

Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and 1 3/4 x 4 1/4, Holly Berry Bouquet DSP 1 3/4 x 5 1/2, Very Vanilla 1 1/2 x 4

Ink: Black Stazon

Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Dotted Ribbon, Big Shot with Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Always Artichoke Seam Binding, Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots

I just love this card, simple but elegant looking. In club for December we will make the box that matches this card (designed by Sandi McIver). Sandi is such a great person and does some really beautiful designs. I just love seeing all she makes.

Thanks for stoppin in and I'll see you soon.
