Blossom Punch

It seems like there are just not enough hours in my day anymore. I planned to post this on Monday and don't know what happened but here it is Thursday already. Time sure flies anymore.

This is the first card from our March card class. I so do love this punch. It's called the Blossom Punch and it's found in the Occasions Mini catalog on pg 17, #125603 for $16.95 and the stamp set is the Mixed Bunch that goes with it. It's also on that page and is # 125537 for $21.95. I certainly hope this is held over to the new catalog because it is so much fun and such a beautiful set to work with.

Card Recipe:

Stamp set: Elementary Elegance

Card Stock: Pacific Point 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and 3 1/4" square and a scrap for the flower; Whisper White 4 x 51/4; Beyond the Garden DSP 3x3

I'm Back

Wow!!! What a week. My daughter arrived on the 15th and we have been on the go ever since. She left yesterday and I really miss her already. She was such a breath of fresh air. You know, life can really get in a rut if you let it and I didn't know all I was missing until she arrived.

The wedding at Disney was amazing. We never had so much fun at one. My granddaughter was a gorgeous bride and so amusing. She wore green tennis shoes with her beautiful dress and so did the rest of the bridal party. That was for saint Patrick. Her mother's family is Irish and so we had corn beef and cabbage for the dinner. It was the best I have ever had. They even made a special Mc-awesome dessert for her and it was so good.
My husband even danced with me, the first time in 30 years. My daughter took a video of it so I have proof! So much fun!!

We did Disneyland the day before and we had not been there since the 80's. It is different but yet still the same. The parade was awesome and the Pirates of the Caribbean was a little different than before but still an awesome experience. We had such a great time.

This week we shopped and had lunch with several different friends, went to Sea World on Wednesday and had a terrific time. We had never been there but I'm sure we will go back. The whales are amazing and so graceful. Tuesday night was wine tasting at the Hotel Del Coronado and it was so much fun. We met some awesome people from Chicago and Carlsbad. Fabulous night to remember!

Now it is back to work time, vacation is over. Darn. Our club meets this Saturday so I must get designing.
Hope you all have a great week and enjoy stamping.

Thanks for stoppin in and I'll see you tomorrow with another card.
Happy stampin',
June

Scallop Envelope Die

I know it has been awhile since I posted anything and I haven't taken pictures of March's card class yet so here is one of the projects we did in the February Club.

It is amazing what you can do with the Big Shot and dies. This is the cutest Easter basket box made from the Scallop Envelope Die. We had so much fun making this and everyone just loved it. We also did a butterfly card to go with it.

Our technique for the month was the Polished Stone technique. We used the stamp set Lovely As A Tree and it came out so beautiful. I will try to get a picture of it on here tomorrow as I won't be posting for a week or so as my daughter comes to San Diego on Thursday and will be here for a week. I think I will be really busy.

Hope you enjoyed this project and will make one for your self or a friend.

Thanks for stoppin' in and I'll see you around the 26th.

Hugs,
June

Sunday, March 4, 2012

Good Sunday morning!! Beautiful day in Southern California, blue skies, temperature around 65 at 10:00 am. We had a wonderful 75 degrees yesterday. What a contrast to the snow and tornadoes in the East. I am praying for all of those people in distress.

Yesterday we did our Calendar Class. It was a blast. Got to see a hostess from 2 years ago. She has been having so many medical problems she hasn't been able to attend any card classes. However, yesterday she came and brought her 97 year old Mom with her. What a blessing!! We all had a good time.

This is the last card from February's card class. Simple but very nice! Everyone thought it was wonderful. I'm getting ready for March's class this week as it is on Saturday. If you live in the San Diego area and would like to join us, just email me and I will give you the information. We would love to have you.
