Doily Sizzlit

Finally I am at the last card for March's card class and now I  can start on April's.

Went shopping this morning at Sprout's and got some really nice produce for a great price and also some good looking steaks to grill. I think Spring is finally here, the birds are singing and it will be about 80 degrees today. Nice day for grilling.

Only 12 days left to order from the Occasions Mini, if you haven't bought everything you love from there, better do it now. Time is short. We won't have another new mini until August when the Holiday Mini goes live. Also our large catalog will be done on May 31st. Not much time to get what you want from there either. A lot of items are retiring.

Card Recipe:

Stamp sets: Elementary Elegance and Fresh Vintage

Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White

Ink: Wisteria Wonder

Accessories: Big Shot with Doily Sizzlit die, ticket corner punch, small pearls and glue dots.

Thanks for stoppin' in and I'll see you soon.

Blossom Punch

It seems like there are just not enough hours in my day anymore. I planned to post this on Monday and don't know what happened but here it is Thursday already. Time sure flies anymore.

This is the first card from our March card class. I so do love this punch. It's called the Blossom Punch and it's found in the Occasions Mini catalog on pg 17, #125603 for $16.95 and the stamp set is the Mixed Bunch that goes with it. It's also on that page and is # 125537 for $21.95. I certainly hope this is held over to the new catalog because it is so much fun and such a beautiful set to work with.

Card Recipe:

Stamp set: Elementary Elegance

Card Stock: Pacific Point 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and 3 1/4" square and a scrap for the flower; Whisper White 4 x 51/4; Beyond the Garden DSP 3x3

PS I Love You

Beautiful Sunday morning here! My husband and son have gone fishing, so it's time to stamp. I also have to create 8 cards for Saturday's card class. This will be a busy week but a fun one.

This is one of the projects we did in our club class in January. I cased this from Becky Roberts, it's just a beautiful card.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: PS I Love You

Card stock: Basic Gray 4 1/4 x 11, 2 1/4 x 4; Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4, a scrap for heart and cupid; Riding Hood Red 2 x 3 1/4; Twitterpated DSP (red) 2 x 3 3/4, (gray) 1 3/4 x 3

Ink: Black Stazon and Riding Hood Red

Accessories: Big Shot w/Finial Press Embossing Folder, Designer Frames (oval), and Tasteful Trim Die-cut; Modern Label, Full Heart, Heart to Heart and Large Oval Punches; Riding Hood Red Pleated Ribbon; Large Pearls; White Taffeta Ribbon; Paper Daisy Flower; Glue Dots and Sticky Strip

This is such a beautiful card and I will probably use the lay-out again with different stamp sets. It just looks so nice.

Thanks for stoppin' in and I'll see you soon.

PEACE WITHIN

This is my entry for Mojo Monday's sketch challenge #150. I really enjoyed this challenge. I used new and old for this card and am amazed how things went together. I just love Stampin' Up and all they give us to work with.

The Stamp Set used is Peace Within.

The Cardstock is Retired, Soft Sky, Groovy Guava, Barely Banana, Mellow Moss.

The ink is, stamped images with Black Stazon, colored with Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Wild Wasabi, Bordering Blue and Black Markers.

The Accessories are, Black 5/8 inch Satin Ribbon, the new Basic Pearls and Dimensionals.

I love the way it turned out. I hope it inspires your creativity. I can't believe I made a card without using the Big Shot. (lol)

Thanks for stoppin in!

STILL SCRAPBOOKIN'

It's a beautiful day in southern California but kind of a sad one too.

I just returned from the Memorial Service for my great-grandchildren's Mother. She had so many loving friends and she was a people's person filled with love and always giving of herself to others. It was a very nice service and a happy one. Music and laughter and sharing with each other, so different than some I have been too.

So, I haven't had time to make any new cards, so thought I would share some more scrapbook pages. The following two are made with Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze dsp and a strip of paper from the scrapbook kit. The flower is the large one and pearl from the Pretties Kit.

These were easy to do.

The following ones are done with Kiwi Kiss plain cardstock and Kiwi Kiss dsp. Pretties Kit flowers were also used but adhered with brads.

I just love scrapbooking whether it be hands on or through digital scrapbooking. I am really hooked on Stampin Up's Digital Scrapbook program. It is so easy to use and you can put your pictures in so easy. You can always dress the pages up with other emblishments later.

Must get on with creating, so I will see you here tomorrow!

Thanks for stoppin in!

EASEL CARDS

It is another beautiful day in Santee, CA. I have been checking out cards I've made and chose the Easel card to show you today. I again got the tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers but have also seen many of these on other blogs. It is such a nice card to display because it sets so nice. My second one is the first one I made and then I decided to do my Easter card the same way. I sent out 18 of these to family and friends. I really love the colors in this one and will hate to see the Pale Plum go but maybe another will take it's place.

Easter Card

Card recipe:

Stamp set: Abundant Hope

Cardstock: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Whisper White and Perfect Plum DSP(the paper on the bottom of the card under the oval is really Perfect Plum DSP although it looks almost burgundy in this picture, bad lighting I guess)

Ink: Perfect Plum ink pad, Old Olive and Pale Plum Markers

Accessories: 1/2 inch circle, scallop oval, scallop border trim, scallop border trim corner, and scallop border punches, regal brads, old olive 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon, mini glue dots and dimensionals.

Thinking of You Card

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: Kind and Caring Thoughts
