Countryside

Happy leap day!! I have been preparing for my Calendar Class on Saturday and completely forgotten to post for a few days. Sorry about that. Sometimes I just get carried away creating and forget everything else.

We have gotten lots of rain in the last few days and our mountains are very white. It is a beautiful sight from 20 miles away. We are supposed to get more rain tonight and tomorrow so it's a good time to stay home and create. I love it!!

This is another card from the February card class. I love the antique look. Everyone had fun doing this one a little different. It is amazing how it changes the looks just by tearing the paper a little different or placing it in a different way on the card. So much fun!!!!

The idea for this card I got from Sandi McIver. She does some beautiful work and is such a delight to listen to.

I really love the new embossing folders called Adorning Accents. They can be found in the Occasions Mini Catalog. This one with the hearts is so adorable. I have been thinking about cutting the larger folders to make small ones so I could use them like this. Just that little accent makes so much difference in a card.

Hope you like this and will try one of your own. I like these two colors together for a real femine look. This one looks so danity and you could give it for several different occasions, birthday, graduation, wedding, etc.

Card Recipe:

Stamp sets: Hello Doily, Heard from the Heart

Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Whisper White

Ink: Crumb Cake

Accessories: Big Shot with Adorning Accents embossing folder, Full Heart and Small Heart punches, Linen Thread, Glue dots and Dimensionals

Thanks for stoppin' in and I'll see you soon.

Good Morning! Yesterday was our Technique Club meeting and we had such a great time. We did the Polished Stone technique and made a Easter box and a card to go with it. I will have them on a post in the future.

I am really excited that my grand-daughters wedding is just a month away at Disneyland. It should be a beautiful day. Her dress is gorgeous and I know she will be gorgeous on that day as well. She is the last grand-daughter to be married and I am so happy I can be apart of everything connected with her special day. She was born on my mother's birthday and she is named after her and me. Angele' Rose, a beautiful French name. My Mom would have been so proud to have known her.

This is another card from our February card class. The class had been asking to do some vintage cards so this month we did 3. This is the second one we did and I so love this paper from the Sale-a-bration book

Card Recipe:

Stamp set: Kindness Matters

Cardstock: Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla, Pool Party and Everyday Enchantment DSP

Ink: Crumb Cake

Accessories: Big Shot with the Designer Frame, 4" of Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon and glue dot.

We sponged everything with the Crumb Cake ink. Hope you like it, we all did.

Thanks for stoppin' in and I'll see you soon.

Summer by the Sea

This is the technique we learned in club for January, called Baby Wipe Swipe. It is so easy to do but gives such a neat look. I used this retired set because I love it so and I think the swipe makes it look like the wind is blowing.

If you are interested in coming to club, it is always on the 3rd Saturday of each month and goes from 1pm to 3 pm. Cost is a $25 merchandise order before shipping and tax. Once you come and if you should decide to join, you would get all the benefits that membership receives. Otherwise you can just come and do the project for a $25 order. We usually do one technique and a project and card to match.
Of course there is always the benefit of chocolate. We just can't stamp without it!! So if you are interested email me at june.switzer@yahoo.com.

I am finishing my last card for this Saturday's card class today. Just can't wait to see all my ladies again. It has been a long month with lots of personal things going on and I am ready for some fun and laugher. If you live in the area and would like to join us email me and I will give you the details.

Thanks for stoppin' in and I'll see you soon.
Until next time,
Happy stamping,
June

Apothecary Art

Finally I am at the last card in the January card class series. Hope you like it as much as I do. I just adore this stamp set and the Label Framelit set that goes along with it. I don't know what I would do without the Big Shot. I have one card class member that calls it the "Big Boy". How cute is that!!

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: Apothecary Art

Card stock: Island Indigo 5 1/2 x 8 1/2; Blushing Bride 4 x 5 1/4; Twitterpated DSP 3 x 3 3/4; Whisper White 4 x 4 1/2

Ink: Early Espresso and Island Indigo

Accessories: Big Shot (Boy) w/Label Framelits; 6 1/2" of Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon; Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz Markers and Dimensionals

Hope you are having nice weather wherever you are today. We have been having very spring type weather here the last week or so, in the high seventies and low eighties. Just wonderful for travel to the mountains. We are going tomorrow, I am so excited.
