Dress Up

Wow! I hope I remember how to do this. It has been such a long time but I am glad to be back blogging. I have been stamping this year so far and having classes but with life as it is I just haven't been able to blog. But life is getting better and I am ready to go. Here is the first of many post to come.
I love this Dress Up framelit from Stampin' Up. Everyone loved this card and we had a great time in class making it.
Supplies used:
Dress Up Framelit retiring on May 31
                Whisper White card stock: 4 1/4 x 11 and 2 1/2 by 4.

                 The Polka Dot Embossing Folder

If you would like to purchase any of my cards you can email me at june.switzer@yahoo.com and I would be happy to give you info on doing that. You may also purchase my card class supplies with tutorial and make all the cards yourself. When you email me I will give you the fee and tell you which stamp sets to purchase or you can have me include the stamp set with your supplies for an added fee.

If you live in the San Diego or East County area I have 2 card classes per month and I would be happy to have you join my wonderful group of ladies for a fun afternoon. You can check out my schedule on my shopping site www.stampinwithjune.stampinup.net.

Until next time,

Sweetheart

It rained again in the night and everything smells fresh and clean. Going to be a cloudy day and that's just right for stamping. I am getting ready for our club meeting on Saturday and looking forward to lots of fun and fellowship.

I was stunned at the size of the retired list of stamp sets and am sending it out to all my customers so they can plan accordingly. I am loosing over half of my collection but am really hoping they will be replaced with some great new sets. The accessories list comes out on Wednesday, hopefully I won't have a heart attack over that.

Card Recipe:

Stamp set: Sweetheart

Cardstock: Peach Parfait, Whisper White and Peach Parfait DSP

Ink: Peach Parfait

Accessories: Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Peach Parfait Poly ribbon, Full Heart punch and dimensionals

Thanks for stoppin' in,
Stampin' hugs,
June

BEST YET

This card was inspired by the Mojo Monday challenge. I don't understand why I haven't used more Bordering Blue cardstock. It is beautiful on a card especially with some embossing on it. I really love the way this card came out and hope you do to.

I used Naturals White for the main card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I then layered it with a piece of Certainly Celery 41/8 x 5 3/8. I cut my piece of Chocolate Chip 4 1/8 x 5 1/4 then scalloped the bottom with the Scallop Border Punch. The Dusty Durango is 3 1/2 x 5, and the Bordering Blue is 3 3/8 x 4 7/8 and run through the Big Shot with the Finial Press Embossing Folder(I love it and you will too). Next I cut another piece of Naturals White 2 3/4 x 2/3/4 and layered it with a piece of So Saffron 2 1/2 x 2 1/2, stamped with a sentiment from the stamp set Best Yet and run through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder ( I love this one too, so will you). I then cut 3 flowers with the Ex-large Flower Punch from Dusty Durango. I ran them through my crimper several times to break up the fibers so I could separate them into 6 flowers total. I then crunched them up in my hand, smoothed them back out, punched a hole in the center of each with my hole punch and mat set and put a brad in the center to hold them all together. It makes a beautiful flower as you can see ( I love these too). Guess I love a lot of things. I finished it off with 2 strips of Chocolate Chip 5/8 inch Satin Ribbon ( I love this too) WOW!

Thanks for stoppin in!

Have a Blessed day!

WELL DONE

We are now done with the surgeries for the Essential Tremor. My husband had the last one today and came through just fine. We go to the Neurologist on Thursday, June 10th to get the wire activated and the tremor will be gone. Praise God!! This has really been an ordeal for him but he was so excited to get it done. Life will be much different for him now. No more spilling coffee or losing food from his fork, and no more embarrassing moments for him. I thank God for what doctors can now accomplish because of the knowledge he has given them.

We got home about 4p.m. today and I had stayed up last night late to get my cards created so I could share some today. I will put 2 on tonight and the other 2 tomorrow. This layout came from Mojo Monday.
